LA Tech Week 2026 has 799 events on the official calendar, 12–18 October, and most of them are approval-only Partiful pages with four to fifteen questions each. Reading them takes a day. Applying to the right forty takes another.
You can hand both jobs to Claude Code. It works inside your own signed-in Chrome through a small free tool called AI Bridge, reads the whole LA Tech Week calendar, keeps the events that match your goal and fills the RSVP forms. You install two apps, make a few clicks in Chrome and paste one prompt.
The guide in four steps≈ 10 min
- 1Install the Claude app, open the Code tab2 min
- 2Install the AI Bridge app from the .dmg2 min
- 3Add the extension to Chrome, allow three sites2 min
- 4Paste the CLAUDE.md snippet and the event prompt5 min
Step 1. Install Claude Code
Claude Code is Anthropic's agent that can run programs on your computer. The easiest way in is the Claude desktop app — download it from claude.com/download, sign in and open the Code tab; no terminal needed. If you prefer the terminal, the official page has a one-line installer. Either way you need a Claude subscription (Pro or Max) or an API key.
Step 2. Install the AI Bridge app
On a Mac with Apple Silicon (M1 or newer):
- Download
AI-Browser-Bridge-…-arm64.dmgfrom the latest release. - Open it, drag the app to Applications, then open it from Applications. The first time macOS says the developer cannot be verified — right-click the app → Open → Open, once.
- An AI icon appears in the menu bar. The app has already started the server and prepared everything Chrome needs; there is no token to copy.
On Windows, Linux or an Intel Mac there is no app yet — give Claude Code this prompt and it installs AI Bridge from source for you:
Install AI Bridge from https://github.com/legisus/ai-bridge into ~/ai-bridge
(install Node.js first if it is missing): npm install, then
npm run register-host. Then tell me exactly what to click in Chrome to load
the extension from ~/ai-bridge/extension and turn on Allow User Scripts.
When I say "done", run ping and confirm the bridge answers.
Step 3. Add the extension to Chrome and allow three sites
The extension is not in the Chrome Web Store yet, and Chrome does not let any
program install it for you, so these clicks are yours. In the menu-bar app
press Add to Chrome… — it opens chrome://extensions and shows the
extension folder in Finder. Then:
- Switch on Developer mode (top right).
- Press Load unpacked and choose the folder the app showed you.
- On the new "AI Browser Bridge" card press Details and turn on Allow User Scripts. Without it the agent cannot read pages.
- On the same page open Extension options.
In Options the token is already filled in. Put three sites in Host allowlist, one per line, and press Save:
tech-week.com
partiful.com
luma.com
The allowlist is the one setting that matters. Left empty, the agent can act on every site you are signed in to — email, bank, work tools. With these three lines, anything else is refused. The status in the menu-bar app now reads Connected.
Step 4. Teach Claude, then paste the event prompt
In the menu-bar app press Copy CLAUDE.md snippet. In Claude Code, send:
Add this to my ~/.claude/CLAUDE.md so you can drive my Chrome through
AI Bridge, then run ping to check it works:
[paste the snippet]
Then fill in your goals and card, and send it as one message:
LA Tech Week is on (tech-week.com calendar, Los Angeles, 12–18 October).
I'm based in [your neighbourhood]. My goals this week:
1) [e.g. meet pre-seed and angel investors]
2) [e.g. meet marketing agencies and DTC brands as clients]
Read every event on the calendar, not just the first page. Pick the ones
that fit, mark them must-go or if-time, plan each day by neighbourhood.
Show me the plan. When I say "register", register me on Partiful and Luma
through AI Bridge with the card below.
Rules: do not buy tickets, do not accept terms, do not invent any answer —
ask me. Read every form back before you submit it.
My card:
Name: First Last
Email: [email protected]
Company / title: Acme, Founder
Website: https://acme.com
LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/your-handle
Instagram: your_handle (without @)
One-liner: what you build and for whom
Phone (only if hosts may call you):
Stage / raised / raising (only if you want to share):
The agent returns the plan first. Check it, say "register", and it works through the list in background tabs.
How AI Bridge works
AI Bridge is three small pieces on your laptop: a command-line tool, a server that listens only on your own computer, and the Chrome extension. Claude Code runs one command per action — open a tab, read the page, click, type — and the extension does it in the browser where you are already signed in. No passwords are shared and nothing goes to a cloud service.
- 1 · agentClaude Codedecides what to click and what to answer
- 2 · cliai-bridge CLIone shell command per action
- 3 · relayws://127.0.0.1:8765localhost only; Chrome starts it through the native host
- 4 · extensionChrome, your profiletrusted clicks in a background tab
- 5 · pagePartiful · Lumaalready signed in as you
What the agent will ask you
| The form asks | What the agent does |
|---|---|
| A paid ticket ($25–$65 in our run) | asks; buys nothing without your yes |
| A $0 checkout with "agree to Purchase Terms" | asks before accepting terms |
| "Which sponsor invited you?" | will not name someone who did not invite you |
| Phone, revenue, team size, raise | asks once, then reuses the answer |
| "Founders must bring an investor as a +1" | skips and tells you why |
- 799events on the official calendar
- 44fit: pre-seed investors, agencies, creators, DTC brands
- 38registrations sent (one of them a waitlist)
- ~2 hof agent time, two short rounds of questions to the founder
Where the agent stopped and asked
- A $65 dinner ticket and a $25 pitch slot: no purchase without a yes
- A $0 checkout that needed the site's purchase terms accepted
- “Which sponsor invited you?”: it will not invent a name
- Phone, revenue, raise size: facts only the founder has
- A dinner that admits founders only with an investor as their +1
Our own run on 12–13 October 2026: 799 events read, 44 kept, 38 registrations sent in about two hours of agent time. For how we split work like this between a planning model and cheaper helpers, see AI agent orchestration.
Our LA Tech Week list: the 38 events we applied to
This is the list the agent built and applied to for a pre-seed founder in Culver City looking for angels, agencies and creators — a starting point if your goals are similar. The full schedule is on the official LA Tech Week calendar. Most of these need the host's approval, so applying is not the same as getting in.
LA Tech Week: two things to check before the first RSVP
- That it read everything. Our first plan came from a keyword filter over about 300 of 799 events. Asking "did you look at all of them?" surfaced 20 better ones. Ask the same question.
- Your links and name. Partiful pre-fills answers from earlier RSVPs — in our run it offered a broken LinkedIn link — and Luma shows your profile name to every host. Put the right links in the card and fix the name first.
If something does not work
Tell Claude Code what you see — it can read the bridge's own error messages. The ones you might meet:
| You see | Fix |
|---|---|
| Menu-bar status "Extension not connected" | press the reload icon on the extension card, wait five seconds |
User Scripts API is not enabled | Details → turn on Allow User Scripts |
host "…" not in allowlist | the event is on another site; add its domain in Options |
| Menu-bar status "Server not running" | reload the extension; if it stays, press "Set up native host again" in the app |
Start with the profile card
Setup is ten minutes once; the card is what makes the agent useful every week after. AI Bridge is free and open source under the MIT licence, made by Mykola Bielousov: github.com/legisus/ai-bridge. This guide follows release 0.1.10.
